Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward and Local Government congresses for Kogi State, Chief Bestman Jumbo-Nze, has assured members of the party and Kogites ‘a hitch-free exercise’.
Speaking in Abuja after the inauguration of the committee, he vowed to do all within his power to ensure free, fair and credible congresses.
While commenting on the alleged ill-feelings among some party stalwarts who are calling for a boycott of the exercise, Jumbo-Nze enjoined all to “eschew selfishness and pettiness in the interest of our party”.
“I haven’t heard or read of any of such call for boycott. I know the person presumed to have made such a call and I can tell you it is not in his character to do so. We need to be careful these days in believing everything we read or hear. One thing is certain. We would reach out to all the stakeholders of the party in the state and in the end, we would have one congress in the state without rancour”.
