aminu_tambuwalTHE President on Tuesday night became an actor when he physically dragged the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, before journalists in Aso Rock, Abuja.

Amidst laughter, President Goodluck Jonathan asked Tambuwal: “Why are you hiding? Journalists are our friends. They want to see your face. Come and show your face to them.”

The drama happened at the State House Banquet Hall before the closed door meeting of the National Caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

At the scene with the duo were Vice President Namadi Sambo, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the ruling party, Chief Tony Anenih, National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, and some security aides.

It is believed that there is no love lost between Jonathan and Tambuwal.

When they got to journalists, including cameramen, Tambuwal was about to meander and go into the hall. The President realised this and dragged him, asking why he wanted to sneak into the hall without talking to the journalists.

Amidst laughter, Tambuwal said: “I am not hiding. I am your property,” he said before they all proceeded to the venue of the meeting.
