Jigawa governor urges Miyetti Allah to join fight against criminals

Jigawa State Government will continue to provide and expand qualitative nomadic education to herders in all parts of the state.
Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar disclosed this when he received ‘ Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore’ a socio cultural Fulani organisation at Government House, Dutse.
He said his administration was committed in providing education to all citizens of the state including the herders for the development of the state.
Badaru said in addition to about 400 nomadic schools across state, the government will establish 200 more new nomadic schools and employ 10 herders from each of the 27 local government areas of the state.
He also said that in his recent working tour to The Netherlands, plans are underway to expand the existing cattle routes and grazing reserves which will provide enough all year grass for the nomadic.
Badaru called on the association to support the government in the fight against negative vices among the Fulani, especially youths who are engaged in criminal activities.
Chairman of the association who commended the efforts of the state government in maintaining peace among its people in the state promised that they will do everything possible to ensure that the relative peace between farmers and herders be maintained and with the support of the government, they will fish out criminals among them.
In a related development, the governor expressed his appreciation to the proprietor of Khadija University, Majiya, a private university established in the state, when members of the board of trustees and management of the University paid him a courtesy call at Government House Dutse.
The governor said establishment of a private university is a capital expensive and long term venture.
He, therefore, commended the patriotism of the proprietor, Alhaji Musa Majiya, for the commitment.
The governor applauded the establishment of the University during his tenure and assured that his administration will support the University to achieve its desired goals in promoting education in the state in particular and the nation at large.
Earlier in his speech, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, the Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Hussaini Adamu, represented by a member of the board, Dr. Ahmed Rufa’i Inuwa, said they were at Government House to brief the governor and seek government’s support and patronage for the smooth take off of the academic programme which, according to him, will commenced with three facilities.
