A female philanthropist in Jigawa State, Hajiya Sa’adatu Ahmed, died on Thursday at the age of 102 years in Hadejia Local Government Area.
This is contained in a statement by her son, Alhaji Maiunguwa Jaga, on behalf of the family in Dutse.
The statement said Sa’adatu died around 8.30 a.m. after a brief illness.
It said the deceased left behind three children and 70 grand children.
It said that until her death, Sa’adatu was a community leader and philanthropist who was assisting orphans and other less privileged in the society.
The statement said the remains of the late philanthropist had since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites about 10 a.m. in Hadejia.
