Italy’s airports will begin operating on June 3, when national and international travel is allowed again, Transport Minister Paola De Micheli said on Wednesday, as cited by Italian news agencies.
The country had implemented severe travel restrictions to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Starting June 3, EU citizens will also be allowed to enter Italy without undergoing the mandatory quarantine.
Several train connections within Italy have already resumed service this week.
