Ikpeazu, Abaribe, Ubani, others at foundation laying of Enyimba FM

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, on Monday, led dignitaries to the ground breaking ceremony of Enyimba FM 93.5 Aba, a
privately-owned radio station.
The radio station is powered by Rethink Media Network Ltd.

Also at the epoch-making event were Senate Minority Leader and Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, Enyinnaya Abaribe; a two-time former House of Representatives member for Obingwa, Osisioma and Ugwunaogbo Federal Constituency, Eziuche Ubani; His Royal Highness Eze O .J Anaba; Fred Emeh, Eric Acho Nwakanma, Ibe Nwoke, Chinwendu Ochulo, Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd), State chairman of PDP, Asiforo Okere; represented by the party’s Deputy Chairman, Obinna Nwachukwu and Solomon Akpulonu.

Also present were A.C Nkoro, Dannie Ubani, Victor Ebere, Rowland Nwakanma, C Ben Nwankpa, Ibe Nwadioha, Seth Agomuo, Hanson Amaechi, John Okiyi Kalu, Uwaoma Olewengwa, Sam Nwogu, Eze Chimkamnayo, Sopuruchi Bekee, Okey Ahaiwe, Uzoma Ihuka, Prince Obinna Nwabiarije, Sam Hart, Chinenye Nwogu, Uwaoma Abraham, Big Nwosu, Kingsley Nnah, Chizuru Kalu, James Ochunkwo, Chinendu Ugoaja, Ngozi Chukwu Nworu, Onyebuchi Ememanka and Bassey Udoh.
Ikpeazu expressed delight over the coming on board of Enyimba FM 93.5 Aba, noting that Enyimba FM would go a long way to boost employment opportunities in Abia State.

While commending the founder of the radio station, Mr Enyinnaya Appolos, for his vision, Ikpeazu further expressed his readiness to support the project.

“I am delighted with this vision and I applaud the visioner for such a feat. I identify with Enyimba FM and the vision that drives it and will be part of the project till the end,” the governor said.

The governor prayed for the success of the newest radio station, and enjoined Apollos to continue his endeavours geared towards enhancing the society.

Abaribe commended Appolos for his interest in establishing a media platform that incorporates Aba City.

He urged that the radio station, when fully operational, should abide by the ethics of true journalism, even as he pledged his support for the success of the station.

Ubani called on residents of the state to cultivate entrepreneurship mindset and establish businesses that will have meaningful impact on the people.

He noted that politics is never an occupation, adding that what sustains a man is what he is able to hold unto after serving politically.

Ubani commended Appolos for “thinking outside the box” and prayed for the success of the station.
