Ikeja Electric cautions public against activities around power lines

In a practical demonstration of its commitment towards rewarding excellence, hard work and dedication, Ikeja Electric (IE), has announced the promotion of 97 employees across its Junior and Senior Staff cadres.

In a statement released by the management of the Electricity Distribution Company, 34 Senior Staff and 63 Junior Staff members were elevated in the promotion exercise, which spread across the Six Business Units and Company Head Office.

Speaking on the exercise, the company’s Head of Corporate Communications, Felix Ofulue explained that the promotions are in line with the Management’s desire to reward excellent performance across the business.

“The promotion will further boost employee morale and productivity, ensuring that they continue to delight our company’s esteemed customers through efficient customer service delivery,” he said.

Ofulue added that one of the key objectives of the organization is to create a high performing organization, which satisfies the needs of its customers, as it continues to re-engineer its operations for greater impact, while expressing its resolve to deliver service excellence.
Commenting further, he explained that “Ikeja Electric places high premium on human capital development as a vital component in its quest to provide the best possible service to customers within its network, noting that it is the reason why the company has created an enabling environment which provides opportunities for career progression and development.”

“We are an equal opportunity employer and our standard requirement is excellence as we clearly understand that a performance-driven organization is critical to the achievement of our overarching objectives.” he added.

Ofulue noted that despite the day to day economic realities of doing business, the company is poised effectively to drive its commitment to deliver efficient and sustainable power supply through investments in new technology, infrastructure upgrade and human capital development.
