Despite being excluded from the main stream of the Super Eagles team, Ikechukwu Uche, still believes strongly a focused Nigerian team can secure the ticket to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Spain-based player said the African champion will be too hot for the Ethiopians to handle.
“We have not dropped a match yet in the qualifiers and shows how well we have been doing as a team.”
“We can only continue like that if we work hard and strive to get results in the upcoming matches.”
“However, I believe Nigeria has a chance of getting one of the tickets up for grabs to the World Cup.”
“When you look at our team, you can see it has a blend of young players and that is an asset when it comes to delivery in tournaments for the country level.”
Uche started his professional career in Spain and won this year’s African Cup of Nations with Nigeria as his side edged Burkina Faso 1-0 in the final despite being unfancied in the competition
