Ighalo’s double sinks Rotherham Utd

Odion Ighalo scored two wonderful goals in his club’s demolition of Rotherham United in the English Championship encounter played at the Vicarage Stadium.
Watford FC dominated the early stages of the game, coming closest to finding a way through when Daniel Tozser blasted over from the edge of the box.
Ighalo gave his side the lead in the 17th minute after dispossessing Kai Arnason before beating Adam Collin to tap into an empty net.
Watford got their second goal through after a rasping 25-yard free-kick which Collin could only parry into the path of Joel Ekstrand who played the ball back across the six-yard box for Troy Deeney to convert his 13th goal of the term.
Rotherham heads dropped at that stage, and less than a minute later, Ighalo tapped home a third when Miguel Layun’s shot was parried into his path by Collin.
Ighalo, who now boasts of 17 goals this season, was replaced in the 75th minute by Matej Vydraand and got a clapping ovation by the home fans for his five-star performance.
Watford are now sixth on the Championship log with 59 points from 33 matches.
