Ighalo: Arsenal will fall at Vicarage Road

Arsenal are ‘flying’ and Alexis Sanchez is ‘scoring for fun’, but Watford can still cause an upset in their Barclays Premier League clash on Saturday, according to Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo.
The Gunners will travel to Vicarage Road for the evening kick-off with their 3-0 victory against Manchester United before the international break still fresh in their minds.

Sanchez, whose manager, Arsene Wenger, revealed is a doubt for the trip, scored a brace in Arsenal’s win against United.

Odion Ighalo believes that Watford can cause an upset against Arsenal on Saturday

The Hornets could be up against the in-form Gunners forward Alexis Sanchez at Vicarage Road

The Chile forward also netted a hat-trick in Arsenal’s 5-2 victory at Leicester last month, was on the scoresheet in his side’s 3-2 Champions League defeat to Olympiakos, and three goals on intentional duty has taken his tally to nine from his last five games.

‘Arsenal are flying and are doing well and you can see Alexis Sanchez is scoring for fun now,’ said Ighalo. ‘It is not going to be easy for us because they are a good team, a Champions League team, and they play some of the best football here in England.

‘But we hope to cope with that. We hope to fight until the end. We will see what happens and a positive result would send out a signal to the other teams that they should be careful of Watford.’

Ighalo has found the back of the net five times for the Hornets on their return to the Premier League this season to take his number of goals for the calendar year to 21.

No other player across England’s top four leagues has scored more times than the Nigeria international in 2015.

But the Chile forward is a doubt for the Premier League clash following his international break exertions

But the 26-year-old, who recently committed his future to Watford by signing a five-year deal, does not mind if he fails to score against Arsenal providing his team claim an unlikely three points against Wenger’s side.

‘I always want to score goals and it does not matter who I score against,’ Ighalo, who turned down a mega-money move to China over the summer to stay at Watford, added.

‘If I score against Arsenal on Saturday and we lose the game I will not be happy. It does not matter if I score, I just want to help my team and make sure we win the game if it is possible.

‘If the goal does not come and we win the game I will be so happy because it is team work and we have been working together as a team.
