Governor Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa State, on Thursday, said he would not waste his time in probing his predecessor, Sule Lamido, but concentrate on the provision of good governance for people of the North-West state.
The governor made the remark in Dutse, the state capital, during an interactive session with newsmen as part of activities to mark 100 days in office.
He said that his administration is busy working hard to fulfil his campaign promises and other covenant he had with the people.
He said that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had commenced investigation into certain financial mismanagement of the immediate past administration in the state.
Badaru said that his administration distributed 16,440 goats to widows in 274 wards in the 27 local government areas of the state.
He said that his administration had commenced the process of commercialising agriculture to provide jobs for the people.
He said that the government had concluded plans to build 790 low cost houses for civil servants in the state.
“Twenty low cost houses will be built in each of the 27 local government areas in the state,’’ he said.
