A chartered Forensic Consultant and legal/litigation forensic expert, Mr. Cosmas Akighir, has called for an overhaul of Nigeria’s security system to solve the growing insecurity in the country.

Akighir, who is also  a top contender for Gboko/Tarka House of Representatives seat in 2023, stressed the need to strengthen the security architecture in the country.

Speaking during  a lecture at the  Institute of Security and Forensic Studies Nigeria, Akighir noted that the  insecurity problem in the country may be solved by rethinking and restructuring of the country’s security architecture.

While calling on  Nigerians to elect credible leaders with track knowledge to rid the country of insecurity, the security expert also called on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to elect  Senator George Akume as chairman of the party in the February 26, 2022 convention.

“I, therefore, espouse the need to strengthen the security architecture of Nigeria and the dire need to elect Credible leaders who aside their Core-Competences and Expertise have unimpeachable track record of service and proven integrity to lead Nigeria and overhaul the country’s endemic corruption and looming security challenges.

“Law enforcement and security agencies have been overstretched and demonstrated limited capacity in tackling the security challenges plaguing the country.

“The insecurity problem in the country may be solved by rethinking and restructuring of the country’s security architecture.

” I am also calling on the ruling and leading All Progressives Congress party to elect a credible leader in person of Sen.Dr.George Akume who has the capacity to transform the party and  feature credible candidates for the forth coming election in order to rid the country of insecurity, corruption and other criminal vices”, Akighir said.
