Former Special Adviser on Political Matters to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Ali Gulak, has said that “Fulani militants are more dangerous than Boko Haram”.
According to him, Fulani herdsman are peace loving people who go about doing their normal cow-rearing business and the highest weapon with them are dane guns “but the current killings of innocent Nigerians in some parts of the North and down South-East of the federation show that there are Fulani militants who are Boko Haram in disguise”.
To him, the Federal Government should do everything possible to deal with the Fulani militants decisively.
Gulak, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declared that if the government does not tackle the insurgents immediately, it may lead to counter attacks from farmers and residents of many communities.
“This is a time bomb that may explode at any moment if something is not done to address the issue. Whether Christians or Muslims, we are all Nigerians”, he said.
