GLOWFUX 2024 Charity Concert: A Celebration of Giving, Education and Inspiration

The GLOWFUX 2024 Charity Concert, held on Saturday, 28th December, at the National Museum, Onikan Lagos, was a spectacular blend of fun, inspiration, and impactful giving.
The event brought together compassionate Nigerians, dignitaries, entertainers, and special children from orphanages and needy homes for a memorable day of celebration.

Guests were treated to a truly enriching experience as they enjoyed free access to the National Museum, immersing themselves in Nigeria’s rich cultural and historical heritage. This unique feature of the event added a layer of education and national pride to the celebration, further underlining the transformative power of the GLOWFUX Charity Concert.

The day’s excitement began at the GLOWFUX Carpet Arena, where adults and kids enjoyed an interactive session hosted by the talented trio of Captain Victoba, a bilingual TV/Radio presenter; Lizzy Oluwatomisin of EAS TV; and teen presenter Isabella. Simultaneously, children explored the play park, relishing the variety of play items available to them.

The event officially commenced at 1:00 p.m. with a spellbinding opening performance by Dom Sax, a rising teen saxophonist, whose musical prowess left the audience captivated. The entertainment lineup continued with electrifying acts, including the incredible Hilary Jackson Dance Group, led by the foremost Michael Jackson impersonator in Africa, whose intricate moves thrilled the crowd.

The event also featured an array of talented young stars:

• Star kid actor and skitmaker, Akorede Bobo entertained the children with fun games, while his brother, Akolade, delighted everyone with his presence.
• Chief Adigun Olowe amazed everyone by delivering over 100 Yoruba proverbs, translating each one into English with precision and wit.
• Seyi Sax, a young boy saxophonist, wowed attendees with his remarkable performance.
• The high-energy performance by Feranmi Golden Angel, a teenage gospel sensation, got everyone grooving and dancing, creating an unforgettable moment that will linger in the hearts of all who attended.

One of the event’s most inspiring moments was the induction of new GLOWFUX Young Ambassadors, who dazzled the audience with their speeches on selfless giving and sharing with love. The new ambassadors include Miss Azma Alogba, Miss Adedoyin Adebanjo, Master Daniel Banjo, Master Tofunmi Omolayo-Akinola, Master Tantoluwa Adaran Akinjobi, Master Ayodele Eseleh, and Miss Hephzibah Olawunmi-Treasures.

In a keynote address, Rotarian Femi Adenekan, Governor of Rotary District 9112, delivered a thought-provoking speech centred on selfless giving, encouraging attendees to embrace the joy of making a difference in the lives of others.

The concert also featured the official inauguration of the Bundle of Hope (BoH) Foundation, a social intervention initiative founded by Mr. Olubode Mac. Oserinde, who also serves as the initiator of the GLOWFUX Charity Concert. The foundation is charged with addressing the needs of organized needy homes across Nigeria and producing the annual GLOWFUX event.
Members of the Board of Trustees of the foundation include Iba Habeeb Ọlálékan Okunola (OFR, MON, FICA, the Akosin of Yorubaland), Dr. (Mrs.) Tosin Dokpesi, Barr. Olamipo Folami, Prof. Abigail Ogwezzy, Mr. Olanipekun Adams, Col (Barr.) Dr. Abayomi Samuel Dare (Rtd), and Mrs. Bisi Claire Jagunna. The Advisory Board members include Alhaja Aderonke Oshikoya, Mr. Babatunde Amakaiye Olowu, and Mr. Olukunle Adelabu.

As part of the day’s activities, awards were presented to individuals and organizations in recognition of their outstanding humanitarian contributions in 2024. The recipients were Mrs. Ezinwayi Adeolu-Idowu, founder of Kingsmead Schools, as GLOWFUX Woman of the Year, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu as GLOWFUX Man of the Year, Lagos Food Bank as GLOWFUX NGO of the Year, and The Ambassadors Schools as GLOWFUX Socially Responsible Brand of the Year.

The flow of the event was masterfully handled by the hilarious duo of MC Luwy and Coyman Comedian, while Daddy Yo kept both adults and children entertained with a variety of games. Winners went home with prizes courtesy of the organizers.
The Mother of the Day, Mrs. Ronnie Dikko-Kila, and Father of the Day, Alhaji Taiwo Oshikoya, provided exceptional support by guiding organizers in attending to the needs of dignitaries, donors, and beneficiary homes.

The official transport partner, This year’s GLOWFUX concert was supported by PRIMERO Transport Ltd, which ensured the safe and timely transportation of children from 11 needy homes across Lagos State. The homes in attendance included Only God Charity Home, Hikanos Orphanages, House of Chloe Orphanage, Child Lifeline, Almighty God Compassion Home, The Candlelight Foundation, Magnificent Therapy Services, Lofty Skills Academy, Modupe Cole Memorial Home, Little Saints Orphanage, and Divine Heritage Home.

Another significant highlight of the event was the announcement of a comprehensive one-year ICT training scholarship for children from Divine Heritage Home, courtesy of EpeeTech Solution, showcasing the event’s commitment to creating lasting impact.

The event enjoyed the support of brands such as Fan Milk Nigeria, which provided free ice cream, DJ MAPS Productions, which handled the music, Headway Events, responsible for décor, and BEETH Events, which catered the event. Other notable supports included King Elegushi of Ikateland, Habeeb Okunola Foundation, Courteville Business Solutions, Kingsmead Schools, SIFAX Group, AkModel Group, Dream Bug Ltd, Seniors Wellbeing Foundation, Hands Lifting Hearts, Corsican Brothers, 3Zs Fabrics, When Women Worships The King, Cardon Edu Global Services and several well-meaning Nigerians.

The GLOWFUX 2024 Charity Concert was more than just a celebration—it was a testament to the power of unity, generosity, and purposeful giving. As it is with its pay-off line, “GLOWFUX is about giving happily to live happily;” The event created lasting memories and meaningful impact, leaving a mark on everyone involved.
