Enyimba International Football Club of Aba Wednesday returned to the top of Nigeria league after they defeated Gombe United 3-0 in a Week 28 game.
Enyimba now have 45 points, same as champions Kano Pillars but are back on top based on a superior goals’ difference.
Ifeanyi Edeh put ‘The Peoples Elephant’ ahead in the 10th minute, before Bishop Onyeudo doubled the lead in the 27th minute, scoring against his former team.
Veteran striker Emeka Nwana put the icing on the cake for Enyimba with 55th minute strike.
Onyeudo has now scored 12 goals to lead goals scorers’ chart.
The former Gombe United striker said he is happy with his goals.
“I am happy as ever to score in the game, I will keep doing my best to get more goals,” Onyeudo declared.
