Thousands of Glo Mobile subscribers based in the oil rich city of Takoradi, Ghana and environs on Saturday evening defied showers of rain to savour a rich menu of undiluted fun and laughter dished out by top notch acts at the Glo Slide & Bounce Concert held at the Jubilee Park in the city centre.
Iconic Ghanaian artistes like Edem, Asem, Papa Yankson and Irene Logan, complemented by world famous Nigerian acts, Wande Coal and Naeto C, belted out irresistible melodious tunes that kept the jam packed venue bubbling with the attendees dancing, frolicking and asking for more.
Grand Comedian of Nigeria, Gbenga Adeyinka the First, was in his elements with his witty remarks and deft handling of the dancing and miming competitions that rewarded winners with various corporate gifts while Reggie Rockstone caused a stir with his cameo performance and introduction of Asem. Ghana’s biggest DJ, DJ Black spiced up the night with apt popular music from the wheel of steel.
A cross section of attendees commended Glo Mobile Ghana for organising the Slide & Bounce Concert in the Western Region and not concentrating on the country’s capital, Accra, alone, promising to reciprocate the gestures with more patronage.
Speaking in an interview, the Head of Business, Glo Mobile Ghana, Mr. Akeem Kazeem, thanked Ghanaians for trooping out en masse to enjoy the Slide & Bounce Concert in the three cities of Kumasi, Accra and Takoradi, adding that “the massive turn out tonight in Takoradi, which is the last leg of the tripod, is a confirmation of the popular saying in Ghana that the best comes from the West”.
He assured Ghanaians of sustained sterling services, pocket friendly rates and more activations from the network of stars in the coming months. The Glo Slide and Bounce Concert widely regarded as the biggest musical jam to hit Ghana this year was organized by Glo Mobile Ghana to say thank you to its loyal subscribers in the last eighteen months that it started operations and it featured over ten world famous artistes including the legendary P Square.
