Former manager of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has welcomed the new head coach of the Super Eagles, Bruno Labbadia, but insisted that Benin Republic will beat Nigeria again.

Rohr lead Benin Republic national team to record a 2-1 win over Nigeria in a World Cup qualifiers only few weeks back and he said his team will do it again.

Bruno Labbadia

“I know Labbadia as a very good coach and he is also coming to handle the best team in West Africa but this does not give him an edge against us (Benin). He does not have much knowledge of the national teams or African teams but wish him luck but certainly not against my team because we want to win again,” Rohr said.

The Benin Coach recalled he played his first match as Eagles manager in Uyo and would be happy to compete against the Eagles at the same stadium.

“I am used to the environment, the players and all. I am also positive that we will leave Nigeria with a result,” Rohr added.
