Fuel subsidy removal: Radda distributes palliatives to vulnerable in Daura

Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina State has inaugurated the distribution of palliatives to 1, 814 vulnerable in Katsina North Senatorial District to cushion the effects of subsidy removal.

The governor, who kick-started the distribution on Tuesday in Daura said that he decided to be part of the exercise in order to ensure equity and justice.

He said, ”Since the items are meant for them, they must be distributed to the most vulnerable like widows, orphans, aged and physically-challenged persons, among others, who could hardly afford two meals per day.”

Radda recalled that similar program was conducted in Funtua for the beneficiaries in the Katsina South Senatorial District last month

The governor said, “I am determined to reach out to the most vulnerable by all means to bring succor to them,” he stressed.

He, therefore, urged the beneficiaries to utilize the items for the betterment of their families.

One of the beneficiaries, Malam Ibrahim Audu, commended Radda’s kind gesture, explaining that it would assist to improve the living condition of the beneficiaries.

He urged the governor to replicate similar programs in all the local government areas with a view to enhancing their living conditions.

Each beneficiary received N10, 000 and one bag of 50kg rice
