Forte Oil leads losers’ chart as NSE market capitalisation rose by N135bn on bullish trade

NSE indices drop further by 0.15%, as Forte Oil tops activity chart

Transactions on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) closed on Wednesday on a bullish note with the market capitalisation appreciating further by N135 billion or 1.27 per cent.
This followed the price gains sustained by some major stocks.
The market capitalisation closed at N10.728 trillion from the N10.593 trillion recorded on Tuesday.
Also, the All-Share Index, which opened at 30,825.00 improved by 392.77 points to close higher at 31,217.77.
Nestle led the gainers’ chart by N10.29 to close at N869.99 per share.
Dangote Cement followed with a gain of N8 to close at N179.99, while Guinness grew by N1.51 to close at N156.51 per share.

UACN and Lafarge Wapco appreciated by 50k each to close at N31.50 and N98 per share respectively.

On the other hand, Forte Oil led the losers’ chart by N2 to close at N248 per share.

Total Oil depreciated by N80k to close at N150, while Flour Mill lost 56k to close at N22.21 per share.

GT Bank dipped by 28k to close at N24 and Redstarex went down by 22k to close at N4.18 per share.

Access Bank emerged as the most traded equity, accounting for 71.33 million shares worth N362.60 million in 137 deals.

TrippleG followed with an exchanged 47.64 million shares valued at N80.50 million in nine deals, while Custodyins sold 47.02 million shares worth N190.25 million in 26 deals.

In all, investors exchanged a total of 416.970 million shares worth N5.24 billion in 3,603 deals.

This was against the 707.912 million shares valued at N2.51 billion traded in 3,787 deals on Tuesday.
