Flying Eagles determined to win U-20 World Cup, says Garba

Flying Eagles Coach, Manu Garba, on Monday said that “the team is strong enough to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup” billed for New Zealand from May 30 to June 20, 2015.
Garba said that the team “is growing stronger by the day”, following their victory in two friendly matches in Germany.
“The most important thing is that the Eagles has been improving day by day because they won their two friendly matches against Hoffenheim, an U 23 team 5-2.
“Then Nurnberg another U-23 at the Subwest Park training ground which they won 5-0.
“I think we will do well at the world cup.
“We are still expecting our three players: Success Isaac of Granada FC, Spain, Simon Moses of KAA Gent of Belgium and Kelechi Iheanacho of Manchester City, England.
“They would be joining the team on May 26 and when they join us and they will have to stay at the bench to get in tune with the rest of the team because the boys here are doing very well,’’ he said.
Garba added that players like Taiwo Awoniyi of Imperial Academy has scored a hat trick in both of the matches.
In the third test match in Germany, the U-20 team will slug it out against Freiburg U-23 team on May 18.
The Flying Eagles belong to group E, where they are pitched alongside Brazil, Hungary and North Korea.
The African champions would face six-time world champions, Brazil on June 1 in their first game of the tournament.
