A construction company, Scenic Associates Limited, has dragged Adamawa State Government before a Yola High Court for alleged breach of contract.
Joined in the suit are the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and A.K Dasin and Sons Limited, a construction company.
The company, awarded a N28.7 million contract to construct two gates at the Jimeta Modern Market, alleged that the government violated the contractual agreement by awarding the same contract to A.K Dasin and Sons Limited.
The company sought for an order of restitution of the contract and the payment of N5 million as general damages, alongside N2.5 million incurred as architectural fee.
The company is also seeking payment of N1.5 million and N1.4 million as monies spent on engaging quantity surveyors and legal fee for solicitors handling the case.
The case, which came up for mention on Monday before Justice Ambrose Mammadi, was adjourned till January 12 to enable the defendants file their defence.
