Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has approved the release of the admission list of successful candidates into the Federal Unity Colleges (FUCs) for the 2016/2017 academic year.

A statement signed by Mr Ben Bem Goong, the Deputy Director (Press), on Thursday in Abuja, quoted Adamu as saying that the list could be accessed online via www.fmeinterviewtest.com.

He advised that candidates who wrote the National Common Entrance Examination should check their names on the website.

According to Adamu, an analysis of the results indicates that a total of 89,231 candidates took part in the examination and that 46,869 met the cutoff mark.

He explained that 24,422 candidates among those who met the cutoff mark had been offered admission into various colleges.

He said that Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Bwari, Owerri and Federal Government College (FGC), Enugu, topped the list of admission with a total of 400 students each.

Adamu also said that Federal Science and Technical College (FSTC), Oturkpo, and Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC), Tambuwal, Sokoto State, had the least number of 120 candidates each.

The minister, however, gave the resumption date for all unity schools as September 19, 2016.
