Ferscoat School is set to resume for the 2021/2022 academic session in a grand style with the delivery of their ultra-modern complex to coincide with the school resumption.
The ultra-modern complex, which is estimated to cost over N120 million, is expected to provide the highest level of comfort for the students and staff.
The building, which is to house over 1000 students, is spacious enough to cope with the growing population and also equipped with the state-of the- art facilities that will provide the needed assistance for learning to enhance the students’ performance.
The school principal, Mr. Fred Opata, who disclosed this said that when completed, the complex will house all the secondary school learners and provide them with easy access to all the facilities.
The building is also designed to accommodate all the laboratories such as chemistry, physics, biology and that of home economics.
Other facilities also provided for in the complex include music and art studios, language lab, a 100-seat capacity ICT room, a 50-seat capacity library, a multi-purpose hall designed to accommodate about 500 guests at a time.
The building, scheduled for delivery by September 20, 2021, is expected to provide a onetime solution to the space constraints of the school.
The security network of the complex is also going to be boosted with the installation of CCTV cameras to complement the schools security team for all round protection for both staff and students during school sessions.
Other facilities include tuck shops and we’ll structured canteen for the students.
The school’s newly acquired buildings to serve as hostels for boarding students are also closely located to the new complex making the students enjoy the facilities within their reach without having to travel some distances.
The level of development in the school coupled with academic performance of their students in external examinations of recent have continued to encourage parents who have been rushing to secure admission for their children and wards before resumption in September.
