Fani-Kayode to Buhari: Resign, go home, rest, says ‘presidency not a tourist attraction, museum or mausoleum’

Former Aviation Minister, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, has described Wednesday’s visit by seven governors, led by the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governors Forum (NGF), Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State, to President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja House, London as ‘a tourist attraction’.
With Yari during the visit were Governors David Umahi (PDP, Ebonyi), Emmanuel Udom (PDP, Akwa Ibom), Abiola Ajimobi (APC, Oyo), Samuel Ortom (APC, Benue), Abdullahi Ganduje (APC, Kano) and Kashim Shettima (APC, Borno).
To Fani-Kayode, it is high time Buhari resigned to take care of his health.
Fani-Kayode had, in various Facebook posts, declared that Buhari would not return to the country alive, describing the situation in the country as ‘corpsocracy’ (the rulership of the living by the dead).
He said on Wednesday morning: “The President and Presidency is not meant to be a tourist attraction, a museum of old fossils or a mausoleum of decaying bodies to be viewed by curious dignitaries in a distant foreign land. It is an act of cruelty to expect this poor man to lead a nation of 180 million. Let him resign, go home and rest!”
