The 11th edition of the Annual Pastor E.A. Adeboye Birthday Public Lecture holds this Saturday March 1, 2025 with Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN) as the Guest Speaker.
Olanipekun, a distinguished Nigerian legal luminary and highly respected voice on key national and global issues, served as the 20th President of the Nigerian Bar Association from 2002 to 2004.
This year’s lecture which coincides with the 83rd birthday anniversary of Pastor Adeboye, has the topic: ‘Justice and Equity: Solution to Socio-Economic Problems in Nigeria’ and it will hold at the Youths Centre in the Redemption City, Ogun State from 11am.
According to a statement by a member of the Lecture Planning Committee, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, two eminent Nigerians will serve as Discussants at this year’s lecture. They are Justice Eni Esan, a retired Judge of the Oyo State Judiciary and Mr. Leye Oyebade, a retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police.
The Annual Public Lecture was an initiative of the Triumphant Elders Consultative Forum of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to use the occasion of the birthday of their revered leader and Geneal Overseer to focus on topical issues of societal importance.
The past key speakers at the annual event are a former Vice-President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), Prof. Oyewale Tomori, Pastor Femi Atoyebi (SAN), Prof. Akinjide Osuntokun, Prof. Michael Omolewa, Dr. Christopher Kolade, Pastor Agu Irukwu, Bishop Matthew Hassan-Kukah and Dr. Akinwumi Adesina of the African Development Bank (ADB).
Last year, the Guest Speaker was Dr. (Mrs.) Oby Ezekwesili who spoke on ‘Rebuild, Renew, Restore: The need of the Nigerian nation’.
A large turn-out of men and women from different walks of life is expected at this year’s lecture.
