A former Director General (DG) of the defunct National Maritime Authority (NMA), now the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Ferdinand Agu,
is dead.
A source said Agu died after suffering a heart attack on Friday.
He was said to have attended a traditional wedding in Abuja before the death.
An architect, he was a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR).
Between 2011 and 2015, he was Senior Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
