The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Etisalat Nigeria, Mr Steve Evans, on Thursday described the newly-launched Etisalat Mobile Assistant as a value added innovation, to enhance productivity.
Evans said at a media briefing, after the public presentation of the Etisalat Mobile Assistant in Lagos, that it would enable business executives leverage other people’s assistance, to maintain their business relationships with less stress.
“We deliver on our promise as our organisation’s culture is to make the customer the centre of our world.
“We have continued to be a master in quality, to serve our customers satisfactorily always,” he said.
Evans said that Etisalat had adopted various initiatives that had been rewarding to the customer, and that the Mobile Assistant service was first of its kind.
“No one else has had something like this before, and it has taken between 12 and 18 months to get here with this innovation,” he said.
Evans said that with the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) data indicating 130 million active users of the mobile phone service, Nigeria ranked the second biggest market in Sub-Saharan Africa.
He said, however, that Etisalat remained significantly concerned about the quality Key Performance Indicator (KPI) set by the NCC.
Mr Lucas Dada, the Director of Business Segment, said that the service would give users mobile efficiency, and would also enable them to attend dual business meetings with less stress.
“The Mobile Assistant allows the user a lot of convenience and helps achieve efficient time management.”
Earlier, the Head, Business Market Segment, Mr Bidemi Ladipo, said that the service was for every business person who did not want to miss their important calls.
Ladipo said that customers could decide on any of the three platforms available, including Live Assist; Timed Assist and the Control Assist.
He said that to activate the service, prepaid customers should dial *305# to get guidelines on what to do, while postpaid customers should call the corporate sales team for assistance.
Ladipo said that the service would be available at the rate of N750 monthly, and that for promotion purposes, corporate customers would enjoy a three-month free-trial period.
Ladipo listed the benefits of the service as greater efficiency, prioritising, improved quality of life, increased accessibility, flexibility and convenience.
