EPL: Newcastle target to sustain record-breaking spell

It was a record-breaking evening for Newcastle and Alexander Isak as the Sweden international became the first Magpies player to score in eight successive Premier League games, while the 3-0 thrashing of Wolves also equalled the club’s record of nine wins on the spin in all competitions.
No, Eddie Howe welcomes former club Bournemouth to St James’ Park as he looks to continue the hosts’ meteoric rise up the Premier League table, but the Cherries are enjoying a phenomenal season and will be a tougher prospect than their midweek hosting of Wolves.
Bournemouth played out a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday to leave them eighth in the table and just four points behind Saturday’s hosts.
The Cherries have been excellent this term, but only Leicester, Wolves, Ipswich and Aston Villa have conceded more goals than them on their travels, and that defensive frailty could open the door for another Magpies win.
With nine victories on the spin behind them and five home wins in a row, Newcastle look good value for the points on Saturday. I don’t expect a clean sheet against the free-scoring Bournemouth, though, and a 2-1 correct score prediction appeals.
Eddie Howe’s side have scored exactly twice in three of their last five games, including a 2-1 win over Spurs, while Bournemouth have conceded exactly twice in three of their last five on the road but have scored in each of their last 15 competitive matches.
Anytime goalscorer punters should not ignore the in-form Isak. His midweek brace made it 15 league goals for the season and he has 12 in his last 10 in all competitions, so back his hot streak to continue.
