Defending champions Enyimba International of Aba on Thursday in Umuahia recorded their first win in the four week old Nigeria Football Premier League.
Substitute Abu Azeez came off the bench to provide a cross that saw Ugochukwu Leonard score on the 89th minute to give the Aba Elephants their ego boosting win in the 2015/16 Football League season at their temporary home ground,the Umuahia Township Stadium.
The result means that the Aba giants now have three points and stand 9th on the Log.
They will next play away to El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri. The Peoples Elephants are yet to play two outstanding games against 3SC and Sunshine Stars of Akure.
Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi currently top the NPFL table with 9pionts from four games and closely followed by Mountain Of Fire and Miracles Ministries( MFM FC),Abia Warriors,Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and Rangers Int’l of Enugu as top five.
