Enyimba International Football Club of Aba on Sunday beat Rangers International FC of Enugu 2-1 in the Week 17 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The match played at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar saw Rangers scoring in the eighth minute through Daniel Etor’s free kick.
The Flying antelopes maintained the lead throughout the first half with Enyimba unable to find their feet.

The home team got the equaliser in the 56th minute through Stephen Chukwude, while team captain Mfon Udoh made it two in the 86th minute to claim the three points.
Speaking after the win, Ogunbote was very happy, and described Calabar as a winning ground for the Enyimba team.
“It is an honour for the team to beat the league champions. I must commend my players for the hard work which earned us the maximum three points,’’ he said.
Coach Imama Amakakpabo of Rangers, who described the game as a tough one, said his team lost to superior tactics.
