Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State, on Saturday, escaped death as armed men shot at his convoy in Osogbo, the state capital.

Armed with guns, cutlasses and stones, the hoodlums swooped on the governor at Olaiya Junction, while he was addressing the #EndSARS protesters.

Oyetola had joined protesters in the walk from Alekuwodo area to Olaiya Junction, singing with them and promising them that their demands will be looked into, and that he supported their peaceful agitations which is a part of democratic process.

However, while still addressing the crowd, the armed men started shooting and hurling stones at the governor’s car.
Immediately, security agents shielded Oyetola and left the scene with the governor.
