El-Zakzaky, wife, DSS operatives, Kaduna officials fly to India

Leader of Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) popularly known as Shiites, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenat, were, on Monday, flown out of the country by the Federal Government.
They boarded an Emirates Airlines aircraft at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and the plane, marked EK 786, took off at 6:45pm to Dubai.
From Dubai, El-Zakzaky and Zainab, accompanied by officials of Kaduna State Government and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), will board another aircraft to India to see his doctors.
El-Zakzaky was seen at the departure wing of the Abuja Airport in the evening being wheeled to the aircraft amidst tight security.
One of the leaders of Free El-Zakzaky Movement, AbdulRahman Abubakar, told newsmen that El-Zakzaky’s trip to India, based on a Kaduna Court Order, “is victory for democracy”.
