The Ekiti State Executive Council during its meetings on Wednesday January 17th and Friday, January 19th 2019, received the White Paper on the recommendations of the Visitation Panels set up by government to look into the activities of five institutions in the state.
The institutions are: Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti; Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti; College of Science and Health Technology, Ijero; College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti and the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State (BSES).

Council considered the recommendations of the White Paper on each of the institutions and gave its approval for the implementation of the recommendations.
Council observed a general trend of leadership and administrative challenges across the institutions.
It also observed abuse of office and financial recklessness in some of the institutions.
It was decided that Government would take immediate steps to put in place governing councils in the five institutions that will be saddled with the responsibility of implementing the recommendations contained in the White Paper.
The state government is committed to ensuring that all institutions in the state are repositioned for excellent service delivery.
Signed
