Sister to Sister (S2S) Foundation has distributed food items, clothes and shoes to the less privileged in Koko Araromi and Jimba Oja of Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr happily.

The foundation made the annual voluntary distribution of food items on Thursday, eve of Sallah celebration, at Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara.

The Amira of the foundation, Dr Azeemat AbdulAzeez from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, said that the group intend to always give back to the society from what Almighty Allah provided for them.

AbdulAzeez revealed that women were the only beneficiaries of the foundation, just as the group implied ‘Sister to Sister Foundation’, to show love and assistance to female gender.

The Amira, while delivering a brief lecture on mental health, during the distribution at Koko Araromi Central Mosque, called on women to be conscious of their health and mindset.

She advised women to reduce the way they think about success in life and put all their needs on Almighty Allah through consistent prayer.

“I want you all to put your trust in Almighty Allah, reduce your thinking habit, as it is dangerous to your health and believe that whatever happens is the will of Allah.

“Try to express yourselves well, share your worries and thoughts with trusted sisters and assist each other in times of need, even if it means encouraging each other with good words,” she advised.

Speaking with women at Jimba Oja Open Space, Dr Mariam Aremu, also from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, cautioned women against backbiting and revealing other’s secret, saying that it’s sinful and inhuman.

Aremu who called on women to be nice to each other, help one another and be of good conducts, also urged them to be steadfast in prayers and believe in Almighty Allah.

“Always observe your five daily prayers and do all the things ordained by Almighty Allah and your prayers shall be accepted.

“Allah accept prayers in three different ways, first is exactly the way you want it, the second is more than what you prayed for and thirdly is on the day of judgment,” she said.

The foundation which was established in 2014, has been assisting less privileged sisters, sharing Eid-el-Fitr package and providing for the needy in the society.

All the beneficiaries expressed gratitude as they offered prayers to the donors and urged the group to sustain the good work towards making the country a better place.
