In a statement on Thursday, Globacom urged the faithful to make moderation their watchword as they celebrate and ensure strict compliance with the Covid-19 safety precautions of staying at home, observing social distancing, washing hands regularly and using hand sanitisers.
It charged the Muslim Ummah to use the opportunity of this year’s celebration to pray for the unity, peace and development of Nigeria as well as the restoration of normalcy to the entire world currently being ravaged by the Covid-19 pandemic.

It advised muslims to be mindful of the lessons of dedication and obedience to higher authorities as demonstrated by Prophet Ibraheem’s willingness to sacrifice his son in deference to the will of God, a supreme act of faith which Eid-El-Kabir glorifies.
“It is a season of charity, peace-making and forgiveness. We must use this season to remember to care for the poor and the needy in line with Allah’s injunction to be our brother’s keeper”, Globacom added.
