The late media icon, Ben Egbuna, is set to add another feather to his cap even in death.
His memoir, A Destiny Fulfilled, will be formally presented August 12 at the MUSON Centre, Lagos. The book is being presented to the public by Diamond Publications Ltd in association with the Egbuna family.
In his 35-year media career, Egbuna was at various times a reporter, editor and administrator. He was the first executive director (news) at the Voice of Nigeria and later director-general of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
A fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, he was also the president of the African Union Of Broadcasting and one of the brains behind the Broadcasters Guild initiative.
A statement from Diamond Publications describes Egbuna’s memoir as “a gift to the media, and Nigeria. Egbuna may have shed his earthly vessel, but his soul lives on in this work that provides enduring lessons it offers in journalism education broadcast journalism, management and leadership.
