The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday, invited former Governor Martin Elechi of Ebonyi State for interrogation.
A source at the EFCC disclosed in Abuja that Elechi arrived at the commission’s office at 10 a.m.
The source said that the former governor was at the commission to honour the invitation by EFCC.
On January 29, the EFCC also invited the former governor’s son, Nnanna, for interrogation.
The former governor, who left office on May 29, after a second term, could not face the anti-graft agency earlier since he had constitutional immunity against prosecution.
Mr Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesman of EFCC, confirmed the information.
