The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday remained static in the FIFA World Rankings as the national team stood rooted to the spot at 53rd in the world and ninth position on the African continent.
Nigeria had 599 points after series of unimpressive matches.
Algeria with 955 points standing 19th in the world is Africa’s number one team. They are followed closely in the number two position by reigning African champions the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire who are 21st in the world with 924 points. The Black Stars of Ghana are third in Africa with 827 points which placed them in the 27th spot at the world level. Tunisia is fourth in Africa with 774 points which put them in the 33rd position in the world. Senegal are fifth with 734 points in the world standing on 38th.
Congo is sixth in Africa with 672 points. Cameroon who is joint 42nd in the world with 671 points stand in seventh position in Africa. Egypt is Africa’s eighth position team with 619 points in the world.
Argentina with 1442 points is the world number one club, while Belgium is the world number 2 team with 1269 points. Germany with 1248 points is the world number three ranked team.
