As part of activities marking the 2022 Christmas celebrations, Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries, Mowe, Ogun State rewarded long standing members of the church as well as the entire members of the body of Christ including workers with various Christmas gifts.
The Head Pastor of the church, Dr.Tayo Popoola, stated that the gesture was in furtherance of the instruction given by the General Overseer and founder of the church, the Lord Jesus Christ, whose birth was being celebrated across the world .
Dr. Popoola said the gesture has been part of the ministry since 2008 when God established the church.
The cleric, however, stated that this year’s celebration was a different thing entirely as the church decided to reward all the foundation members of the church, including dedicated workers with various gifts.
One of the ministers in the church, Pastor Dayo Ajayi, stated that the dedicated worker has been very dutiful and outstanding in her attendance of all the church programmes and services over the years.
Pastor Ajayi further stated that he observed that over the years, the worker has been very consistent in attending church programmes with members of her family.
Ajayi, therefore, urged all the church members to emulate her by improving on the attendance of church programmes in the new year.
Fielding reporters’ questions after the service, Dr. Popoola stated that the church gesture can be situated within the framework of Christ injunction of ” feed my lambs ” and “take care of my sheep” as espoused in John 21:15 -16.
Meanwhile, the annual prophetic end of the year revival of the church takes off tomorrow and would last three days from 5pm.
The theme of the revival is: END THE YEAR WITH GLADNESS AND JOY.
