Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has constituted a six-member judicial panel of inquiry to look into the election violence that marred the December 5 governorship election in the state.
A statement on Friday in Yenagoa by Mr Daniel Iworiso-Markson, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, said the panel would be inaugurated on December 14.

The panel will determine the number and identities of persons that were injured or killed during the violence and breach of the peace that occurred in parts of the state from December 3 to 6.
It will also determine the extent of damage to property, if any, during the poll as well as identify the perpetrators of the violence.
The panel, headed by Justice Margaret Akpomiemie, has 21 days from the date of inauguration to submit its report.
Other members of the panel are: Brig.-Gen. Bob Ake (rtd); Dr Victoria Abah Tekena; Mrs Martha Akpana; Mr Abraham Lord Ekiamene (Secretary), and Mr Tamadu Abasi, counsel to the panel.
