The National Orientation Agency (NOA), has cautioned the electorates against selling their votes, using items with political logos and using smart phones at the polling units during voting.

Mrs Keneng Pam-Hworo, the Plateau State Coordinator of NOA, made the call on Wednesday at a one-day sensitization campaign in Jos.

Pam-Hworo said the essence of the sensitization campaign is to create awareness on the forthcoming elections and to ensure that the masses are well enlightened on what it entails to exercise their civic responsibility.

She said that voting starts at 8:30 am and ends at 2:30 pm.

She called on the public to ensure that during voting, they thumbprint in the middle of box provided and desist from signing on the ballot paper to avoid rendering their votes invalid.

The state coordinator called on the public to come out in their numbers to exercise their civic duty peacefully.

She cautioned those nursing the intention of causing violence or chaos at the polling units to refrain from such, as violators would be apprehended and made to face the full wrath of the law.

Places visited by the sensitization campaign team included Terminus, Old Bukuru Park, Masalacin Jumaa, Gada-Biu, Polo and Tudun Wada.
