Some were weeping while discussing the development.

Palace aides were also seen removing the personal effects of the late monarch from the palace.

The state government is yet to issue a statement on the demise but a senior government official confirmed it.

Oba Adesida ascended the throne in 2011 after the deposition of Oba Oluwadare Adesina who was accused of engaging in a public fight with one of his wives.

One of his sons got married two weeks ago in a colourful event.
