Danjuma accuses Armed Forces of supporting bandits to kill Nigerians, says ‘if ethnic cleansing is not stopped now, Somalia will be a child’s play’

Former Defence Minister, General Theophilus Danjuma, on Saturday, took the Armed Forces to the cleaners.
Danjuma, a former Chief of Army Staff, said it was unfortunate that the Armed Forces “are facilitating the movement of bandits to kill Nigerians”.
He urged Nigerians to defend their territories because “if you are depending on the Armed Forces to stop the killings, you will all die one by one”.
Danjuma spoke at the maiden convocation of Taraba State University in Jalingo.
The former Army Chief, who was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate Degree, donated N100 million for the construction of a sports complex for the institution before he threw the bombshell.
He said: “In this state, and, of course, in all the riverine states of Nigeria, we must resist. We must stop it. Everyone of us must rise up. The Armed Forces are not neutral, they collude with the bandits that kill people, that kill Nigerians. They facilitate their movement, they cover them.
“If you are depending on the Armed Forces to stop the killings, you will all die one by one. This ethnic cleansing must stop in Taraba State and in other states of Nigeria, otherwise, Somalia will be a child’s play.
“I ask everyone of you to be alert and defend your country, your territories, your states. You have nowhere else to go. God bless our country”.
