Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man and founder of the Dangote Group, has appointed his three daughters to prominent executive roles across the group.

Halima, Fatima and Mariya Aliko Dangote have each been named Group Executive Directors in strategic divisions, marking a formal elevation of their responsibilities within the multi-billion-dollar conglomerate.
The appointments appear to align with a broader succession plan as Dangote increasingly prioritises flagship projects, including the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

● Halima Aliko Dangote has been named Group Executive Director, overseeing the Dangote Family Office and International Offices, managing family investments and global operations in Dubai and London.

● Fatima Aliko Dangote takes charge of Commercial Operations in Oil & Gas, providing leadership across the energy sector, including the refinery and petrochemical divisions.

● Mariya Aliko Dangote, the eldest, becomes Group Executive Director for Commercial Operations in Cement and Foods, managing core business units and board-level engagements in subsidiaries such as Dangote Cement.

The three sisters have long been involved in senior executive roles, contributing to strategic planning, operations, and governance. Their formal promotion reflects a structured handover of operational leadership to the next generation.

The Dangote Group, with interests spanning cement, sugar, oil & gas, and fertilizers, continues to pursue ambitious growth targets, including a $100 billion valuation by 2030. The appointments have been widely reported across Nigerian media, highlighting the consolidation of a multigenerational legacy in African industry.
