The Nigeria ‘Hospitality’ House Project Committee for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil has been re- constituted.
The 15-man committee earlier inaugurated by the Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Alhassan Yakmut, on November 5, 2015 has now been reduced to seven.
According to the Special Adviser, Media, to the Sports Minister, Mrs. Nneka Anibeze, the re-constituted committee has Alhaji Mohammed B. Abdullahi as Chairman and project coordinator, while the Nigeria Olympic Committee will be represented by Hon. Bappa A. Missau.
Other members of the committee include Shamma Makpa, a Sports Officer at the National Sports Commission, Okechukwu Nebo, Head of Chancery, Nigerian Embassy in Brazil and three ministerial nominees, Alhaji Bala Usman, Tar Ukoh and Mrs Adeshola Ndu.
The Nigeria ‘Hospitality’ House Project Committee which will be inaugurated on Tuesday by the Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung, is to promote and showcase the country’s culture at the Rio Olympic Games in August this year.
