The Cherubim and Seraphim Church Worldwide has announced the release of a Centenary Album as part of activities to commemorate its 100th anniversary, honouring the enduring legacy of its founder, Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase.

The five-track album is designed to celebrate the church’s spiritual journey, its role as the first indigenous spiritual church in Africa, and its prophetic mission which has shaped Christianity across the continent for a century.

All the songs were composed and arranged by Very Rev’d David Akinadewo-Adekahunsi (Aremolekun), who serves as the initiator of the project.

The tracks, which include Ogo T’Orimolade Fihan, E Wa Ni Irepo, Olorun Emi, Ajihbunah and Awa L’eri Kan, were specially crafted to reflect the church’s history of divine encounters, resilience, and evangelistic zeal.

The project brings together some of Nigeria’s most celebrated gospel voices, including Queen Busola Oke (Eleyele), Prophet Ojo Owolafe (Ajidara), Prophet Oluwalofunmilomobi (AFNA), Evangelist Olajumoke Olowookere (Ogo Eri), Evangelist Oluwale Aniyikaye, Dr Seyi Ajogbajesu, Ambassador Akinola Dugbe, and Prophet Eri Igboho Adeola.

The album is produced by Snr. Evangelist Adedapo Fasanya, popularly known as Bengo 2.

Significantly, the Executive Producer of the Centenary Album is Primate (Dr.) Ade-Turton Onibode, Chairman of the C&S Unification Church of Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter, who graciously accepted to sponsor the landmark project.

His commitment has been described by church leaders as a testament to his dedication to preserving the heritage and advancing the mission of the C&S family worldwide.

Speaking with newsmen in Akure, the initiator, Very Rev’d David Akinadewo-Adekahunsi (Aremolekun), explained that the album is a humble offering to God and to the C&S fold that nurtured his faith.

According to him: “Every lyric, every melody carries the story of our collective journey, our struggles, and our triumphs in Christ. I believe this work will unite our members worldwide in worship and gratitude as we mark this historic milestone.”

Primate Ade-Turton Onibode also described the album as a spiritual memorial.

“This centenary is not just a celebration of years but a testimony of God’s unfailing covenant with His people. The album will inspire generations yet unborn to hold firmly to the light of Christ which Saint Moses Orimolade first ignited a hundred years ago,” he said.

Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase, who later became known as Ajagunmokadi, was born in Ikare-Akoko, present-day Ondo State.

A man of unusual prophetic gifts, he endured physical disability from childhood but rose to become a mighty evangelist.

After years of itinerant ministry, he arrived in Lagos on July 12, 1924, a day that marked the dawn of a revival which later blossomed into the C&S movement.

By 1925, the Cherubim and Seraphim was formally established under his spiritual leadership, becoming the first African-initiated church to spread rapidly across Nigeria and beyond.

The Centenary Album is scheduled for release ahead of the Lagos Centenary Concert taking place before September 9, 2025, one of the highlights of the global anniversary celebrations.

The album is dedicated to God Almighty, the memory of Saint Moses Orimolade, and the many fathers and mothers of faith both living and departed, who have kept the flame of the C&S movement burning for a century.

Copies of the Centenary Album will be available at the Lagos Concert venue, across C&S churches nationwide, and subsequently on selected music platforms, ensuring members and well-wishers worldwide can partake in this once-in-a-lifetime celebration through worship and song.

The album also forms part of a wider programme of events, including thanksgiving services, conferences and pilgrimages being held across continents, underscoring the truly global reach of the C&S Centenary.
