The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Ikere Ekiti General Hospital, Dr. Olaoluwa Olubiyi, has denied beating his wife, Dr. Adenike Olubiyi, a lecturer at the Ekiti State University (EKSU).
Speaking through his lawyers at Opeyemi/Ogunremi Chambers, he declared that family members are already handling the matter.
Although he admitted having a child out of wedlock, he declared that the current crisis was not caused by a womanfriend or girlfriend.

Olubiyi was alleged to have beaten his wife into coma but the chamber said he was not a violent individual but a gentleman.
A statement signed by his lead counsel, Opeyemi Ogunremi, maintained that “the issue is being treated by family members in the interest of the couple”.
The statement reads: “We are Counsel to the Chief Medical Director of General Hospital, Ikere, Dr Olaoluwa Olubiyi.
“In the last few days, we’ve been inundated with a lot of stories in the press, regarding the disagreement between Dr Olaoluwa Olubiyi and his wife but we decided not to immediately respond because, one; it’s a family affair and two; both husband and wife, Dr Adenike Olubiyi are public servants in the employ of Ekiti State Government.
“However, the details have been twisted to portray my client in a bad light and
in view of the twist of events over this matter, we’ve resolved to put the record straight with the intention of ensuring a harmonious relationship in the marriage for the sake of the family.
“In the first instance, we want to categorically state that the issue between Dr Olaoluwa Olubiyi and his wife, Dr (Mrs) Adenike Olubiyi is not a fresh issue as portrayed but has been lingering for over two years where she packed out of the house and still returned to give room for reconcilation.

“No mistress is pregnant now or living with the family. Dr Olubiyi Olaolu has a child out of wedlock which happened a long time ago.
“The fact that she again secretly parked out with their children without my client’s knowledge is what led to the recent disagreement. There was no beating to a pulp or strangulation.
“Moreover, it’s a family affair which has nothing to do with their respective official responsibilities and it is already being looked into by the family to avoid degenerating into irreconcilable situation. Efforts are already in place to get across to both parties.
“The chambers therefore appealed to members of the public, particularly members of the press to treat the issue with caution so as not to disorganize the family and throw the children to everlasting sorrow”.

So if he did not beat the wife, how did she end up with broken neck bone. See lies
