“Without God, I wouldn’t have been celebrating my 50th birthday today. I give God the glory for His faithfulness”.
With these words, a Senior Pastor of Praise Chapel International, Rev Godwin Ngasony Tambo, kickstarted his birthday in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
The event was attended by other clerics and opinion leaders in the North-East state.
Tambo, who is the Residence Pastor-in-Charge of the church in Yola, recounted that God has been faithful to him from childhood.
He urged other clerics and politicians to always put God first in everything they do “so that it shall be well with you”.
The Adamawa State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Mike Moses, who extolled the qualities of the cleric, said: “With my interaction with him sio far, I am convinced he was genuinely called by God”.
“The celebrant is one pastor that refuses to involve himself in politics of any form in the state but he has always observed the principles of Jesus Christ which is the foundation of Christianity”
Chairman of the occasion who is also former District Governor of 9125 of the Rotary Club, Elder Felix Obadan, said: “I have known him for more than 25 years. I can vouch for his integrity”.
Bishop Musa Weyep, federal and state lawmakers and leading members of the church also extolled the virtues of the celebrant.
