The Founder, House of Prayer Assembly, Ilorin, Pastor Joseph Omorinoye, on Sunday distributed rice to his followers as Christmas gifts.
Omorinoye surprised members by  distributing more than 1,200 bags of 10kg rice as take home gift for Christmas.
He said the rice was given out to members as gifts for Christmas and as part of relief for members during the festive period.
” We understand the situation in the country. I am doing this to relieve them a little bit.
” I will like to do more and surpass this feat next time. I want everyone to be happy.
” In few days time, we will be celebrating the Birth of Christ Jesus. I am wishing everyone a Happy Christmas in advance,” he said.
Omorinoye also called on clerics, religious leaders and  founders to always empower their members.
He added that their members deserved to be taken care of and not only asking them for projects money.
” Empower your church members. They also have their family to take care of. Invest in them and make them happy,” he urged.
He, however, tasked Christians in the country to pray for Nigeria and seek God’s intervention.
