The Vivian Nneka Chidoka Outreach has set up an Artificial Intelligence-powered cancer information aggregator website for aggregation and sharing of information from around the world about cancer.

The outreach was set up by Chief Osita Chidoka, former minister of aviation, and his siblings in honor of their late mother, Deacon Nneka Chidoka, who died in April after a protracted battle with cancer at the age of 75.

In a statement announcing the establishment of the online cancer aggregation center, Chidoka said the platform would be a hub for information sharing on cancer-related issues.

He said there had been revolutionary breakthroughs in cancer management and treatment which could increase survival rates in spite obvious setbacks.

Chidoka said the major issue with cancer plague was lack of early detection and poor access to information about developments in cancer treatment and management techniques available.

He urged Nigerians to visit the site at https://vnchidoka.org/ adding that a telegram channel, email and other mediums would be used to send personalized updates.

“We have established a Cancer Information Aggregation Website, my brother Ikenna built the site with his team and will personally manage it with our support.

“The website aggregates information along the following categories including cancer prevention, cancer treatment and cancer awareness

“Currently, there are three persons who have been diagnosed with different cancers and are undergoing treatment.

“However, the information on the site is predominantly foreign, and issues raised may not apply locally,” he said.

Chidoka said the outreach had reached out to local oncologists to help them review the contents of the website with a view to explaining what they meant to the average Nigerian.

The People Democratic Party chieftain thanked the staff and management of Lakeshore Cancer Center in Lagos for the manner they managed their mother till she died

“We were impressed, our mother and my siblings were all happy with the customer care and treatment method that involved us.

It is possible to instill a world-class culture in a Nigerian institution. Lakeshore Cancer Center reaffirmed that belief.
